The Dry Drayton Dining Room

Our school catering is provided by an in-house team, the menu is full of delicious choices including Meat Free Mondays, Fish Fridays, hot and cold dishes and a non meat option every day. The majority of our ingredients are sourced from a local butcher and green grocer and everything is prepared in our kitchen.

Birthday Lunches

Children may invite up to two family members to join them for lunch in school  on or near to their birthday.

Lunches will cost £3.50 and may be booked and paid for on the ‘Birthday Lunches’ payment option on School Gateway. In the comments box, please state the date and name/s of family attending.

Mrs King can cater for up to two children’s birthday meals a day, so if some days are over-subscribed you may be asked to choose an alternative day.

Drinks

Please send your child to school with a named, reusable water bottle everyday, no matter the weather. It should return home every night to be cleaned and refilled with fresh water. There are many different varieties of water bottle, but unfortunately, the most appealing are not always the most robust, so do consider this when purchasing as they are taken outside for Forest School and PE too.

Please no squash or fizzy drinks - they can make such a sticky mess and are not considered to be as healthy.

Breaktime snacks

KS1 children are provided with a fresh piece of fruit in school every day so do not need to be provided with a snack from home. If however you wish to send them in with a snack, you may do so but this should be a fresh piece of fruit or a healthy, plain, (no sugar or salt) snack such as a rice cake or breadsticks.

Please send these into school in a named reusable tub that is taken home at the end of the day. Please, nothing in packaging or plastic bags to reduce our waste and littering in school. This guidance also applies to KS2 breaktime snacks.
