Welcome to St Etheldreda class.

 

We are year 3/4.

 

Autumn Term 2021

This term we will be learning about materials in science. Our history topic will be about the Vikings and in geography we will be learning about earthquakes and volcanoes. 

We will be basing our English around these main themes.

The homework expectation is that children will read everyday, complete one comprehension activity a week and practise their times tables, mental maths and spellings.

Summer Term 2021

This term we will be learning about plants in science. Our history topic will be about The Mayan Civilisation and in geography we will be learning about the rainforest.

We will be basing our English around these themes and also will be writing poetry inspired by song.

In maths we will continue working on fractions and statistics. We will also learn about shape and measure. Year 4 will also learn about decimals.

Spring Term 2021

This term we are learning about The Ancient Greeks in history, Europe and maps in geography and sound in science.

We will be basing our English around these themes.

In maths we will be focusing on multiplication and division, measure (length) and fractions.

 

The homework expectation is that children will read everyday, complete one comprehension activity a week and practise their times tables, mental maths and spellings.

Autumn Term 2020

This term we are learning about The Ancient Egyptians in history, Rivers and The Water Cycle in geography and States of Matter in science.

We will be basing our English around these themes.

In maths we will be focusing on Place Value and Addition and Subtraction.

 

The homework expectation is that children will read everyday, complete one comprehension activity a week and practise their times tables and spellings.
