Welcome

 Autumn 2024 Dinosaurs

We have a 'roaar-some' term planned in R/1/2

Year 1/2 will be looking at who discovered dinosaurs and some great facts about them. In Science the children's focus is on materials and the children will be building a bridge for them to cross safely. Amongst other lessons planned in all the different curriculum areas.

Reception, will be settling in for the first few weeks covering the topic 'All about me'. We will then explore their different learning areas using the dinosaur theme.

Summer 2024

Our journey.

In Summer Term the Reception children will be focusing on the different modes of transport and their first book will be 'The man on the moon.'

In Year 1/2 the children will be looking at the history of transport alongside using transport themed books to inspire their story writing.

Science is going to be very exciting learning about lots of different life cycles and the habitats of different animals.

In PE we will be getting ready for Sports Day and gaining water confidence in our swimming lessons.  There are also lots of other exciting things to learn in all the other subjects, which you can find out more information on in the termly overview.

We are looking forward (hopefully) to the beautiful Summer weather to allow our learning to happen in all areas of our school grounds.

Spring 2024

Fire, fire (1/2), People who help us (EY)

We are very excited about the upcoming term! In Y1/2 we will be learning about the Great Fire of London and donning our historical hats! Reception children will also learn a little about the GFOL as we look at firefighters and other jobs!

In Science we will all be learning about weather and how it affects us.  In PE we will be learning to move our bodies in time to music as we explore dance.

We are so eager to explore all of the foundation subjects.
